April Wrap Up.

These are the other books I’ve read in April on top of my holiday reading wrap ups which can be found here and here.

Finding Sanctuary – Abbot Christopher Jamieson

4 Stars: I really enjoyed this, I’ve never (to my knowledge) read a book by a monk. It was interesting to hear his perspective on modern day life. He presented the reader with a number of ways in which we can learn to find sanctuary in the business of everyday life.

The Shadow of the Wind – Carlos Ruiz Zafon:

3 Stars: I took a long time to read this book, I’m not sure if that was because I wasn’t enjoying it enough or because I was just busy. Either way I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I was hoping to.

Punk Monk – Andy Freeman and Pete Greig:

4 Stars: I have already done a full review of this book which you can read here, but suffice to say i loved this one.

Gatecrashing – Brian and Tracey Healey:

5 Stars: I loved this book. It was all about a 24/7 prayer movement in Ibiza. Basically this couple moved their lives to Ibiza to live in the community and bring Christ to the party-goers of Ibiza.

Milk and Honey – Rupi Kaur:

4 Stars: I really enjoyed this book of poetry, it was incredibly powerful and raw.¬†For me though it just wasn’t as good as The Princess Saves Herself In This One.
